Nederland Renewable Energy Project

The Colorado State University Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory conducts research on natural gas pipeline systems, biofuels, smart grid, and products designed to reduce pollution and conserve fuel in the developing world. In this first episode, lab director Bryan Willson offers an overview of the work conducted there and its emphasis on real-world applications.

Boulder County Energy Corps is a new program that will provide free basic energy audits in Boulder County.

The 2009 Colorado Renewable Energy Conference - "Clean Energy:
Pathways to a Low Carbon Footprint" - will be held on the weekend of
August 28-30 at The Colorado School of Mines in Golden. The Conference
will feature tracks in Communities, Utilities, and Carbon Sequestration,
Tours of advanced energy facilities in Golden, an Exhibit Hall (free and
open to the public), and much more. Keynote Speaker Dr. Eric Barron
(Director, National Center for Atmospheric Research) will discuss
"Climate - State of the Science" on Saturday morning (free and
open to the public). KMGH TV-7 Meteorologist Mike Nelson will speak

Some initial notes on a Sustainability Advisory Board for the Town of Nederland.

I proposed creating a Sustainability Advisory Board for the Town of Nederland that would organize a formal structure with volunteers from NedREP.  After a workshop with the BOT, it seems like the idea is moving forward.

I posted an outline of its structure and some notes on initial work.  If NedREP wants to have some of its members join this (it would be geared to Town projects rather than larger boundaries), we can probably have it formed at the July 14 meeting of the BOT.
